Can’t take my eyes off you

I scrambled frantically with my mouse to take a look at her latest photo album. The few seconds which Facebook takes to load her photos left me with beads of anxious perspiration rolling down my cheeks.
So she likes seafood marinara pasta from Spageddies. Better remember that in case I get to talk to her today. I grin to myself as her brightly lit face smiles at me from the screen where she poses with that plate of pasta.
“8.47″, my watch blinked brightly with a beep. It was time.
Checking my reflection in the mirror on the side of my work cubicle, I smoothed out my hair and straightened my tie. I was ready to go.
Taking long strides through the corridor, I hoped that I wasn’t too late. I quickly turned into the corner into the pantry and braced myself.
From the corridor, I could hear the tapping sounds of her heels. Clearing my throat I quickly busied myself with filling my flask with water from the dispenser.
“Good morning, Cho.”
The sweetness of her voice caught me as I struggled with a reply. “G-goood morning.”
I watched her from the corners of my eyes as she took an apple from the fridge. What beauty, such grace! She looks captivating even when she bites into that apple. As she turned and walked out of the pantry, I released my tensed breathe.
I turned to my watch as I set my alarm for 12.33 where she will be at the lift lobby on her way to lunch.
